How I Spent My Week Being Sick

I wasn’t sure if I was going to post anything too personal on here. Just general how-tos while including my interests or parts of my life along with it but I felt like maybe I should share even more of my life on here and be a little more personal. Such as my week, almost two, being sick.

I shared in my last post things to do while sick in bed. I didn’t realize I would still be that way about a week and half later. But I guess this could be a Part 2 of ‘What To Do While Sick In Bed’ but even more specific, haha.

So, I realized how boring it can actually be being by yourself. I am always the type of person that prefers to be near people when I’m sick. If only in the same house. But while my husband has been at work, I have had to figure out how to spend my days, 9-5, no or little work, and much extra time to do what I want at the same time as recovering.

Here is a list of what I did this past week and there may be a few things you will be interested in too!

  • Rewatched/Started Watching the Barbie Films - I grew up watching the Barbie movies and my all time favorites are Barbie as Rapunzel and Barbie in The Nutcracker. The Nutcracker came out when I was 6 so I grew up with Barbie but I really only watched the first 3 which includes Barbie of Swan Lake. The rest of the time, I kept busy with Barbie dolls. :) But this week I started all of the Barbie films from the beginning and as of right now, I’m on the 9th! They are all less than an hour and a half so they are pretty quick watches but if you are like me and love a good nostalgic flick and/or loved playing with Barbie dolls as a kid, these are for you!
  • Made Valentine Cutouts - I have been meaning to do this forever and actually, never finished, haha. But I start cutting out felt hearts in red, pink, and white, for Valentine’s Day as well felt envelopes. I only made one envelope so far, haha but I learned how to do a blanket stitch for it! Although Valentine’s Day is over, they will still look cute for Spring and Summer. ❤️
  • Started and Finished a New Series, La Palma - As I’m writing this, I just finished this series! It was so good, stressful, sad, and exciting. I’m not sure if I can watch it again for a while, haha but it definitely was well-made and a great for those who like disaster films. Only 4 episodes and less than an hour each, it’s like a long movie.
  • Played Roblox, Hayday, & Playville - Roblox is my go-to game or I guess game platform. So many games to choose from! Hayday I check every day though, especially when there are events going on, which is like always. It’s a farming game where you can grow fruits and veggies, have cows, pigs, goats, and chickens, as well as be able to decorate your farm. My mom got me into it. :) Playville I recently discovered from Facebook actually and thought it looked cute. Now I have a cute house and yard on there with cuuuute clothing to wear.
  • Ate Lots of Sweets - Most of the week! Hahaha, I had already bought some chocolate for Valentine’s Day so I have been spending my days eating sweets although I should definitely cut back. Haha, BUT my birthday is this weekend so that doesn’t count. 😂
  • Watched Jericho - Jericho from 2006 is one of my favorite shows! Whenever I’m not feeling well, time of the month, etc., I like to watch Jericho. It’s a comfort show for me and recently, I got my husband to start watching it with me. Which we will continue this weekend. :) For those who’ve never heard of it, it’s a post-apocalyptic show that takes place in Jericho, Kansas (a made up town). Skeet Ulrich is the main character, whom I love, and although the series only lasted 2 seasons, it’s gained a cult following. They were supposed to bring it back to Netflix for a third season but it didn’t happen. 😭

Well there you have it! My list of things I did while being sick these past few weeks and hopefully I gave you some ideas for when you are or just when you have some free time to try something new.
